Tim Stricker

Timothy Stricker is Executive Assistant to the General President at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Tim began his career with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades as a glazier apprentice with District Council 21/Local Union 252 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1980. In 1996, after 16 years on the job, he was appointed as the organizer for Local Union 252, and assistant political director of District Council 21. His duties included the recruitment of new members, enforcing workplace rules and the coordination of political activism and lobbying programs for all DC 21 affiliates.

In November 2006, Mr. Stricker was appointed as executive assistant to the general president in IUPAT headquarters. In addition to completing special assignments for the general president, his primary responsibilities included the coordination of union meetings and conferences.

From March 2007 through 2009, Mr. Stricker also served as the director of the IUPAT Political Affairs Department. In that role he oversaw the development and implementation of the IUPAT political strategy, building political allies in the U.S. and Canada, and get-out-the-vote efforts on the local and national levels. In 2013, he was tasked with spearheading the IUPAT Glazing Industry Initiative.
