Michael Laughlin is in charge of business development for the IUPAT District Council 21, Local Union 252 in Philadelphia, PA. In this capacity he develops and cultivates new and existing relationships with general contractors and glazing manufacturers, provides consultation to these industry partners to identify glazing contractors with experience and expertise matching the needs of their projects, provides project leads to glazing contractors regarding upcoming bid opportunities, and supplies field personnel to glazing contractors based on project needs of craft worker qualifications.
Prior to holding this position Mike worked for Strauss Glass Company in Atlantic City, NJ. Beginning as an apprentice glazier, he stepped through the ranks to become shop steward, foreman, and estimator/project manager.
Mike completed Gloucester County Institute of Technology’s HVAC program and attended both Gloucester County Community College and Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
