Michael is Vice President of W.S. Cumby Construction and is a LEED AP BD+C. His career in the construction industry spans 30 years, including experience in the construction of industrial facilities as well as owner/president of an independent contracting firm. Mike is responsible for the development of new business opportunities and the management of the company’s preconstruction services including contract negotiations, project budget development and cost control, procurement, scheduling, and logistical planning. He has been an active advocate for the adoption of green building and sustainable construction practices and has directed the company’s green initiatives since 2001. Mike is the former President of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, and is a current Board Member. He has facilitated over 100 AIA Continuing Education Seminars on the topic of environmental sustainability related to the planning, design, and construction of buildings and communities.
