Testing Conditions

Open Book

All Green Advantage® Certification Exams are administered open book.

The OBER is the only reference material permitted within the exam setting. In the case of group paper-pencil exams, the test proctor provides a clean copy of the OBER to each examine at the time of testing.  For computerized exams, the OBER is available during the test in a split-screen format.

Two Ways to Take a Green Advantage (GA) Exam®

Computerized Individual Exams

Green Advantage administers computerized individual exams at authorized testing facilities and proctors the exam in a secure setting. E xam candidates schedule their own testing dates and times, and take the test individually at a convenient testing center.

Group Paper-Pencil Exams

Green Advantage administers Group paper-pencil exams in groups, often following group training. GA proctors administer group exams at a time and place that the host or training organization arranges. The testing area is located in a building that conforms to local building, sanitation and health codes. The building complies with laws regarding accommodation of individuals with physical disabilities. The testing area ensures adequate lighting and space so that excess noise does not disturb examinees.

Group Paper-Pencil Exams and Computerized Individual Exams have the same rules about materials candidates allowed in the testing area.

Testing Security Provisions

Qualified proctors administer all Green Advantage® Exams.

The Green Advantage (GA) proctor limits admission to the testing area to examinees only, and they must show two forms of identification (ID) to the exam proctor.  One form must be a valid photo ID: only a valid driver's license, passport, state ID card, student ID card or military ID card is accepted.

The GA proctor assures that exam candidate’s personal items, including cell phones, purses, etc., are not accessible during the exam. The GA proctor remains in the room during the full length of the testing time.
