Wendy Bratzel has been instrumental in the creation and launching of the Green Advantage national training and certification program. She is also the founding principal of Ecological Design Associates, LLC, an environmental consulting firm specializing in sustainable community planning and residential design. Current projects include a 400 acre new town integrated into the historic fabric of Charles Town, West Virginia; a 44 acre environmental community nestled into a forest in Gainesville, Florida; and four state of the art green homes in Maryland and Virginia.
Before founding Ecological Design Associates in 1995, she served for seven years as Environmental Review Coordinator in Montgomery County, Maryland.
She holds degrees in Physical Geography and Architecture from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.
