Providing Training for the Green Advantage® Exams

It is recommended that candidates for Green Advantage® Certification take preparatory training from an academic or professional organization.  When candidates select training, they are encouraged to make sure that the training is:

  • Using training materials that are designed by green experts to prepare you specifically for the Green Advantage® Exam (Commercial, Residential or Commercial/Residential)

  • Taught by qualified and experienced faculty, preferably GA Certified

  • Offered or sponsored by a reputable organization

Green Advantage®, as a certifying body, does not offer, endorse or authorize trainings.  Academic or professional organizations interested in providing training are encouraged to become thoroughly familiar with the GA Exam Information (click here) and the Green Advantage® Open Book Exam Reference in order to prepare curricula and prepare for delivering training.  Of course the best way to prepare to offer training is to take the Green Advantage® Exam and become GA Certified.

Organizations wishing to list GA preparatory training events or products on the GA website should review the following:  How to Post a Workshop on the GA website

All organizations offering GA preparatory training must follow the registered trademark usage rules related to Green Advantage® name, logo and marks.

The certification fee and proctoring fee is paid as one combined fee of $175.  The Green Advantage Open Book Exam Reference will be provided at no additional charge to all of those candidates registering and paying to take one of the GA exams.  Read about the Green Advantage open book exam policy.

Note that this and all other policies and procedures are subject to change at any time by Green Advantage®, Inc.  Green Advantage®’s exams, website, Open Book Exam Reference and other materials, policies and procedures are continually being improved; input from training organizations, faculty and curriculum developers is encouraged and welcome.
