LEED Innovation Credit Granted for Green Advantage Certified Contractors and Subcontractors
For those aspiring to attain LEED Certification, an Innovation Credit is now available if a significant percentage of contractors and subcontractors working on the project are Green Advantage Certified at the time of commencement of construction.
The Benefits
The Green Advantage Training Program offers real world, practical information with broader, big picture concepts to prepare students to accomplish four important goals:
- Understand and enforce the core concepts and construction principles behind sustainable buildings leading to holistic view from the different trades of their work. This will foster leadership in the industry as younger tradesmen move into management positions.
-
Integrate green practices and strategies into construction processes which will lighten the impact on the environment, save energy and improve the health conditions of construction workers and building occupants
-
Become knowledgeable enough about the LEED rating system as it applies to construction to be an active partner with design professionals to achieve a LEED rated building.
-
Become thoroughly prepared for the Green Advantage Certified through an hour long test that will be taken at the end of the course.
The Sessions are organized as follows:
