The USGBC Kentucky Chapter is offering our first Green Advantage workshop January 29 & 30 to answer the growing demand for green building training and certification for construction personnel.
Why Get Certified
In 2009, Kentucky High Performance Building Standards became law and requires LEED certification standards for state facilities.
Your construction crew can help a building pass green building certification or cause it to fail. In a study conducted by the University of Florida, Green Advantage certified construction personnel increased the likelihood of LEED project certification success. Read the study here.
For residential builders, the demand for energy efficient and sustainable homes is expected to skyrocket. According to the National Association of Home Builders, "Residential green building is no longer a trend - it is the future of building."
